Do you know the new trend of upside-down cakes?
We thought we would try out these delicious pastries with our exotic sweet jackfruit . And what can we say? The enthusiasm was so great that the pastries were gone within 10 minutes.
The great thing is that you only need a few ingredients. So, if you have spontaneous guests over for coffee and you still have puff pastry in the fridge or freezer, then you should try this recipe as soon as possible! (Oh, and of course you'll need our delicious sweet jackfruit for it. But that shouldn't be a problem. The sweet jackfruit in a can or jar will keep for a long time in the pantry).
The recipe:
For approx. 6-8 tartlets (depending on the size of the puff pastry)
Ingredients:
- 1 puff pastry
- 1 can or jar of sweet jackfruit
- Honey or agave syrup
- Pistachios
- Icing sugar as needed
How to do it:
Place baking paper on the baking tray and spread about 1/2 tablespoon of honey/other sweetener on each cake in long portions on the baking tray. Add pistachios and sweet jackfruit (drained) on top. Then place the dough on each portion and press the edges with a fork so that the cakes stay sealed.
Bake at 200 degrees for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Remove, carefully turn over, dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
ENJOY!
