These upside-down tarts with sweet jackfruit and puff pastry are a quick dessert with few ingredients – ideal for spontaneous guests.
The new trend of upside-down tarts pairs wonderfully with our Kumaio® sweet jackfruit . The fruity sweetness of the jackfruit complements the crisp puff pastry perfectly, giving the pastry a light, exotic touch. The recipe is quick, requires only a few ingredients, and is perfect when guests arrive unexpectedly.
Ingredients for 6–8 upside-down tarts

1 roll of puff pastry

1 jar or can of Kumaio® sweet jackfruit

Honey or agave syrup

Pistachios
-
Icing sugar (optional)

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180–200 °C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Set a sweet base:
For each tartlet, place approximately ½ tablespoon of honey or agave syrup lengthwise onto the baking paper. -
Distribute jackfruit and pistachios:
Place the drained sweet jackfruit on top and sprinkle with chopped pistachios. -
Place the puff pastry on top:
Cut the dough into suitable pieces and place them over the portions. Press the edges firmly together with a fork. -
Bake:
Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
If desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve hot.
